Our clients asked us to help to create a light and bright home. We created extra space by extending to the front which extended both the lounge and entrance to the property. The aim was to create a light filled space which has been enhanced by the fitting of Velux windows. It is widely accepted that artificial lighting is responsible for a significant amount of energy consumption, and adds to energy bills. It makes sense, therefore, to harness daylight as much as possible which has been achieved creating both an energy saving and attractive living space.
The addition of a steel balcony with a glass balustrade to the side of the property allows the owners to access and enjoy the outdoors and also adds to the light fuelled nature of this project. The theme of light is carried through to the rear of the property via the installation of sliding doors which provides beautiful views and an open aspect. Our Made by Orocco workshop team contributed beautiful bespoke all new oak skirtings and facings to the clients own specifications, new oak doors and a truly attractive oak staircase with glass balustrade and understairs storage. They also created a lovely bespoke bench seat incorporating a heater to dry and warm shoes as well as two bespoke wardrobes. The effect of the oak and increased light together creating a beautiful and unique space for our clients.
