A remarkably unique home renovation in Edinburgh’s Duddingston neighbourhood. Load bearing walls were moved, with the building’s stone corner removed and replaced with glass – a contemporary remodelling bringing natural light into all corners of the home.
An attic conversion adds a further two bedrooms, bathroom and ample storage space. The bespoke corner staircase hand built in Orocco’s carpentry workshop gives the hall a modern, spacious feel, with the hall doors seamlessly hidden within the Walnut veneer wall.
The garden facing wall has been replaced with large, ceiling to door windows with two skylights installed bringing in natural light complementing the oak flooring, worktops and furniture.
The Larch cladding provides an alluring contrast to the Zinc roof, giving the exterior a magnificent finish.
