Having a utility room can make a considerable difference to your home. A utility room is probably something you need…even if you don’t already know that you do!
They are the workhorse of the home; an area for all the mucky, grimy, messy jobs to take place, but that doesn’t mean they can’t be beautiful spaces, far from it, but they are definitely worth considering if you want to keep the rest of your home pristine…especially those of you with children and/or pets!
Wouldn’t you rather have a designated space in your home for laundry baskets, pet bowls and litter trays, old coats and boots, etc. than have them strewn around the home or taking up valuable storage space elsewhere? If so, we are here to create a beautiful AND useful space for you!

Here at Made by Orocco we will work with you to help you decide whether fitted or free-standing wardrobes will best meet your needs.
The portability of a free standing wardrobe means that you could move it to a different bedroom if you decide to re-furnish your room or change around your overall home layout. And of course, it can come with you if you decide to move home too. Free standing wardrobes do mean that you may have some underutilised space around your them, which is just left to gather dust or becoming a dumping ground for the rest of the family.
It may then be after consideration that fitted wardrobes will be the best solution for you as it allows you to maximise the space available as the frame is custom built to your requirements. Taking the frame from floor to ceiling allows you to benefit from the maximum storage opportunities.
We can design the fitted wardrobe to suit your lifestyle and clothing preferences too.
Perhaps you work in an office all week, where a tailored suit is required, and at the weekend you have a more casual attire. Having a fitted wardrobe allows you to organise this more visually so that you’re not wasting time searching every morning.
Whichever wardrobe you decide to have the extensive selection of colours and finishings we have available will make it easy to match in with your decor and other furniture. You could choose to keep some of your favourite pieces, or you could mix and match with another furniture range.
A place within the home which create the most issues is the kitchen as it’s often the gateway to the garden. If you do not have the space for a utility room creating a boot room enables space between the outdoors and your nice tidy home.
A common issue with an open-plan kitchen which opens directly to the garden is no matter how often you clean it, everyone seems to drag something unwanted in!
The dog walks across the clean tile floor leaving dirty paw prints, the kid dump jumpers, coats and hats on the kitchen table, and garden tools always seem to end up by the door! Talk about organised chaos!
As a boot room typically has its own entrance from the garden, people can easily remove dirty clothes and shoes and clutter remains contained.
It’s also a fantastic space for pets, as they can be wiped down, removing any dirt they would have otherwise dragged into the home. Boot rooms are ideal for storing coats, shoes and umbrellas in a single place cutting down the time taken to leave the house in the morning!
