An Edinburgh based company are currently in a growth phase and are now looking for a talented individual to join our team – someone who has either recently qualified as an Architect/Building Surveyor or has been in their profession for several years.

We are working on projects in and around Edinburgh making every day different. Working in mainly residential and commercial sectors.

We are looking for an individual who is looking for a diverse role where you can grow within the company ensuring project quality and design is of the highest standard.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Familiarise, manage and own allocated tenders through to job start.
  • Liaise with Site Foreman on pre-start information
  • Ensure budgets are adhered to and met throughout the job
  • Customer relations with both staff, clients and architects to be maintained to company expectations.
  • Weekly/daily progress checks on all aspects of the job program
    • Variations – liaise with sub-contractors
    • Inspections on quality and design
    • Site team adhering to latest drawings
  • Price up variations and negotiate with architect/clients through to approval
  • Attend site meetings with client and architect.


  • Excellent knowledge of construction operations and equipment
  • Ability to understand and work on construction drawings
  • Good time-management skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Critical-thinker and problem-solver
  • Good math skills

Job Type – Full time – 39 hours over 4 days – every FRIDAY OFF
